Archiving Projects

It is likely that you will create projects that you wish to remove from your homepage, to facilitate this we have the archive feature. This essentially allows you to ‘soft delete’ your projects with the ability to restore them should you need to.

Note: Project Archiving and the Organisation Archive are only available to Organisation Admins and Project Admins.

There are several ways to archive your projects.

Organisation Homepage

There are two ways you can archive projects on your Organisation homepage. You can either:

  • Click the ‘3 dots’ icon on the right hand side of your project, in the projects list.
  • From the drop down select ‘Archive’.

Or:

  • Tick the check box to the right of your project, in the project list. This will select your project.
  • Click ‘Archive’ in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

You can also use this method to archive projects in bulk, simply select multiple projects using the checkboxes and then click archive.

When you click ‘Archive’ a confirmation box will appear:

  • To confirm click the red ‘Archive Project’ button.

You will receive a message confirming that the project has been successfully archived.

Project Settings

You can also archive your project from within the project itself, via the settings page. To do so:

  • Navigate to ‘Project Settings’.
  • Click the ‘Archive Project’ button near the bottom of the page.

You will once again be asked to confirm whether you wish to archive your project. To do so:

  • Select ‘Yes’ to proceed.

You will be returned to the Organisation homepage after you have successfully archived the project.

Archived Projects

You can see a list of your archived projects by heading to the ‘Archived Projects’ page, to do so:

  • Click ‘Archived Projects’ in the side panel.

You will be presented with a full list of your archived projects. These can be sorted by name or by the date they were archived.

To sort either:

  • Click ‘Name’.

Or:

  • Click ‘Archive Date’.

You have two actions you can take with your archived projects. You can either restore them or delete them permanently. To restore a project:

  • Click the ‘Restore’ button next to the project you wish to restore.

Your project will be immediately restored and you will once again be available in whichever folder it was located in at the point of archiving.

To permanently delete a project:

  • Click the ‘Permanently delete’ button.

You will then be prompted to confirm that you wish to permanently delete your project. To do so:

  • Type the listed project slug into the box provided and click ‘Delete Project’.

Warning: Once a project is deleted in this manner it cannot be recovered, please proceed with caution!
