The UKHab & BNG Platform: Project Settings
In this document we’ll walk through the different options available in the project settings page for the UKHab & BNG platform. This will be a general overview of the project settings page, more detailed documents relating to the different sections will be linked throughout.
Accessing Project Settings
To access project settings click the blue cog icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

This project settings will open in a new page defaulting to the red line boundary tab.
Red Line Boundary
The red line boundary tab is where you can delete, change or upload a new red line boundary for your project. For a more detailed explanation of how to do this please read our focused document here.

Members
The members tab is where you customise the list of members belonging to a project and their permissions

To add/remove members from the project:

You can also add/remove all members of your organisation when you:
- Tick/untick the box next to the ‘Name’ header.

To edit member permissions:
- Select a role from the ‘Project Role’ dropdown

Once you are happy with your changes to the members of your project click the blue ‘Save Changes’ button.

Map Layers
The Map Layers tab is where you can upload custom map layers for use in your project. For a detailed explanation on how to do this see our document here.

Details
The details tab allows you to add or make changes to your project, share your project and should you wish to, delete your project.
To change your project name:
- Click the text box containing the name of your project.

- Type your new project name

To add or change your project description:
- Click the large ‘Project Description text box’.
- Type out a description for your project.

You can create a shareable link to allow stakeholders outside of your organisation to view an un-editable version of your project. For more details on this feature and how if works read our document here.
Once you have made all your changes click the blue ‘Save Changes’ button in the upper right corner of the page.

To delete your project:
- Click the red ‘Delete Project’ button

A confirmation message will appear if you wish to proceed:
- Click the red ‘Delete Project’ button

If you change your mind simply click the ‘Cancel’ button.
