What’s New?
The UKHab Platform and Coreo Admin Area Update
The new Admin Area has just been released! This new update is a substantial overhaul of both the Admin Area and the UKHab & BNG platform. We’ll cover what’s new in this article and link to all the relevant documentation so that you can smoothly continue gathering and working with your data.
All new layout and visual improvements
This updated version isn’t just a simple combination of the two platforms but also includes a new layout of the Admin Area and many visual improvements, matching the style of our recent updates to the form builder and App. Some highlights include:
- A simplified project dashboard (now renamed “Project overview”). This will evolve to show more information in future updates.
- A reorganised side panel with all pages and functionality clearly organised for ease of use.

- A dedicated section for UKHab projects, making navigation easier and providing consistency between the UKHab functionality and other projects within the Admin Area.

New Maps & Boundaries Section
Several changes have been made to the mapping functionality in the Admin Area, which now come under the Maps & Boundaries :
- The Maps & Boundaries section provides a one-stop-shop for adding and styling your map layers.
- Adding and editing vector, raster images, form layer data and heatmaps has been simplified.

- Project bounds have been incorporated into the new Maps & Boundaries page (previously in Project Settings).
- Map layers for UKHab projects are also edited using the Maps & Boundaries page in the same way as non-UKHab projects.
More functionality will be added to the Maps & Boundaries section by the end of June 2025. We’ll provide further updates on this in due course.

Project Archiving
Organisation owners and admins can now archive projects:
- Archived projects will be removed from your project homepage and held in your organisation archive (visible only to Org Admins and Owners).
- If needed these archived projects can be restored by org Admins and Owners.

Adding New Records
You can now add new records to your projects in the Admin Area. This applies to UKHab projects too.
- Forms will display in a similar manner to the record summary page in the app.

Relevant Documentation:
UKHab
UKHab projects are now fully integrated into the Admin Area. This provides a wide range of benefits, including:
- You now no longer need to work with two separate websites when working with your UKHab survey projects.
- You can use the full suite of Coreo organisational tools on your UKHab projects, such as the ability to arrange projects in folders.
- It is now easier to work with combined surveys (a UKHab project with Badger/GCN/Bat survey forms for example) as these now use the same platform.
Working with Pre-Survey and Baseline Records:
You now have more flexibility when working with UKHab records:
- You can now add new records from the Admin Area.
- You can edit existing records so there is no need to open the app to correct mistakes or make necessary changes.

- The record detail view has been revamped, containing more data insights and allowing you to easily edit the entire record.
