Editing Records in Coreo: The Admin Area

In this User Guide we’ll explore how to edit records using the Coreo Admin Area.

To begin making edits:

  • Open the ‘Records’ page.
  • Open the record you wish to edit in its own tab. To do this, hover over the record in the table and use the ‘launch’ icon, shown highlighted below.

You should now be on the record detail page.

Editing a record’s geometry

To edit the geometry of your record use the record map in the top section of the page.

There are several settings you can alter while you make your edits:

  • To change your base map click the ‘Layer’ icon in the bottom right corner of the map.
  • To open up a full screen version of the map click the ‘Expand Map’ icon in the top right corner of the map.
  • To exit fullscreen simply press the ‘Expand Map’ icon again.

To begin editing your geometry:

  • In the record map, click the geometry feature you wish to alter.

In this example we’re editing the location of a point feature:

  • Drag the point to the new location and release the mouse when you are happy with the point’s new position.

You can edit any type of geometry feature on the map. In the next example you can see how to edit a polygon feature.

  • As with the point feature click the polygon to begin making your changes.

Should you simply wish to move your polygon, without making any edits to its shape you can do so:

  • Click in the centre of your polygon and hold.
  • Drag the polygon to the new location and release the mouse.

You can also alter the shape of your polygon feature:

  • Click to select your polygon – this will reveal the vertices of the shape.
  • Click and drag vertices to reposition them.
  •  When you have finished editing your geometry click the white ‘Save’ Icon in the upper right hand corner of the map.

Note: The geometry tools in the Admin Area are currently limited. For more complex edits, and access to the full suite of geometry tools, you will need to edit your geometry in the Coreo App or, if you are working on a UKHab project the UKHab and BNG Platform.

Editing Record Data

You can also change the data of individual records in the Coreo Admin Area.

Note: Due to its complexity you will be unable to edit UKHab Survey records in the Coreo Admin Area. To make changes to your data you will need to edit using the Coreo App instead.

To begin editing:

  • Click the blue ‘Edit Record’ button, in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Your record’s fields will now be editable.

To edit your fields simply clear your previous answers and select or add your corrected data.

Note: Certain fields such as those using a searchable list will need to be cleared manually in order to add a new answer i.e. use backspace to clear the search box.

If you want to revert your changes:

  • Click the white ‘Cancel Edit’ button.

Once you are happy with your changes:

  • Click the blue ‘Save Record’ button.
