Deleting Records in Coreo
There may be circumstances where you need to delete records you have added to a Coreo project. To delete records you must use the Admin Area. For UKHab records, the UKHab Portal can also be used, but only when dealing with Pre-Survey data currently. It will also support the deletion of full survey records soon. Records cannot be deleted in the Coreo App.
Only project Admins are able to delete and restore records.
Deleting a Single Record in the Detail View
- To start open the Records tab in the Admin Area
- Then open the record you wish to delete by clicking the Record Id
The record detail view is now open.
- Next, click the Admin tab, above the map
The Delete Record option will now be available to you.
- Click the red ‘Delete Record’ button
You will be asked for confirmation before the record is deleted, as stated in the dialogue box users with the Project Admin Role are able to restore these records.
- If you are happy to continue press the Delete button and the record will be deleted
You will receive confirmation your record has been deleted successfully in the bottom right corner of the screen. You will also be able to restore your record by clicking the blue ‘Restore’ button if you deleted the record in error.
When you return to the records page you will see that the deleted record is no longer available in the list of records or visible on the map.
Deleting Multiple Records in the Records View
You can also delete records from the records page itself, this includes the ability to delete multiple records at once.
WARNING: There is no confirmation before deletion using this method, ensure that you have selected the correct records before proceeding.
- Once again open the Records tab in your chosen project
- Select the record(s) you want to delete.
To select multiple records:
- Hold the ‘control’ key on windows or the ‘command’ key on Mac and then click the records you wish to select. This method allows you to select non-contiguous records in the table, as shown below.
- To select a range of contiguous records instead, use the Shift key.
- Then click the Edit button and hover your cursor over the Delete option in the menu and choose the appropriate option – either “All” or “Selected” records.
The number of records you will be deleting is shown in brackets.
You can also select multiple records on the map:
- Click the white ‘polygon’ icon in the upper right corner of the map
- Click and drag around the records you wish to select, a preview of your selection area will be shown as you do this
- Release the mouse to complete your selection
